The Youth and Family Programs Coordinator will develop, facilitate and coordinate innovative STEM/STEAM related programming for youth and family audiences in the form of summer camps, Girl Scout/Boy Scout events, birthday parties, Saturday with a Scientist, festivals and other activities. This individual will inspire a passion for science by drawing from University research and resources, and will ensure program content/activities and delivery are of high-quality and support the Museum’s mission. Additionally, this position will maintain internal and external partner relationships specific to youth and family programs, and hire, train and supervise seasonal program staff, supervise University student staff and volunteers. Lastly, s/he will assist to develop youth and family program budgets and meet revenue goals, provide creative programmatic insights, identify opportunities to improve program offerings, and support evaluation and grant writing initiatives.
This position will directly report to the Youth and Family Programs Manager. S/he will work closely with specific members of visitor services, programs, exhibits and planetarium on program operations and development, and will serve on various team meetings.
