The Administrative Assistant position works closely with the Bell Museum’s Executive Director, Development Department, and Director of Business and Marketing. This position provides administrative support for the breadth of external relations work at the Bell. This position is responsible for assisting the Executive Director and Development Director with calendaring and meeting support as well as donor, membership and marketing data processing and management. This position will provide a high level of customer service for the Bell’s stakeholders, donors and members as well as working with external partners.
Essential Qualifications
• High school diploma/GED and four years of office related experience; training/education may be substituted for years of experience
• Computer experience required
• Demonstrated writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills with both internal and external parties
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices and equity
• Detail-oriented with ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, problem solve, and exercise independent judgment
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience working in museum, nature center, or similar cultural organization.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others to address and resolve problems.
• Ability to work in a changing environment remaining positive, proactive, resourceful and efficient
• Demonstrated experience working with confidential material and data integrity
• Experience managing electronic calendars
