The American Swedish Institute (ASI) is welcoming two museum rock stars to Minneapolis to speak at a special event –
A Night of Social Wonder: Designing For A Better Tomorrow (Wed, Mar 18 – 6:30p) –
Olov Amelin, Director, Nobel Museum and Sebastian Chan, Director of Digital & Emerging Media, Cooper-Hewitt.
Both Olov and Seb are blazing new experiences for museum visitors, both in the digital realm, and the built environment. They’ll be presenting on Wednesday night about their respective projects.
Our thought was to make the most of their visit to Minneapolis and gather a group of museum professionals in the Metro area to share an informal conversation, all over fika, to learn more about the new digital engagement strategies that debuted at the December opening of the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and the new plans for Stockholm’s internationally recognized museum, the Nobel Museum being designed by museum starchitect, David Chipperfield. Bring your own set of questions and assumptions, ideas and thoughts for Seb and Olov.
You don’t have to attend Wednesday night’s panel discussion to enjoy this conversation. Can’t make it? Want to bring a colleague? Pass along this invite.
Space will be limited...RSVP by March 13.

This All Over Fika moment is presented in partnership with the Minnesota Association of Museums.
Olov and Seb’s visit is made possible by support from HGA Architects and Engineers.
